Hi, I’m Hibiscus. I got my name because of where my story began — in a garden. Sounds sweet, right? But it wasn’t. I was just a tiny puppy when someone dumped me and my sister in a patch of overgrown plants in South Miami like we were trash. No food. No water. No one looking out for us. Just two babies left to fend for themselves in the heat, hoping someone kind would find us before it was too late.

We huddled together for days, scared and confused, holding onto each other until someone finally found us and brought us to safety. That was the first good thing to happen to us — the beginning of a second chance.

Since coming to the rescue, my sister has found her forever home. She’s safe, happy, and loved. I miss her, but I know my turn is coming. I’m still here, still waiting for the family I can call my own.

In the meantime, I’ve grown into a smart, athletic, and funny girl with a big personality and an even bigger heart. I’ve got a spring in my step, a brain that loves a challenge, and the kind of goofy zoomies that will make you laugh out loud. But more than anything? I’m a people person. I light up around humans — I’ll melt into your lap, follow you from room to room, and look at you like you’re my whole world. I haven’t let the past make me bitter. If anything, I love even harder.

Being abandoned didn’t break me. It made me stronger, sweeter, and more ready than ever for a real forever family — the kind that loves big and laughs often. I want lazy mornings with you, walks in the sunshine, and a cozy spot next to you on the couch at night.
