I’m Laylani, and I’ve had quite the journey to get here, but I’m so ready for the next chapter.

For a long time, life was a struggle. My sister Seffie and I spent most of our lives living outside—never knowing when or where our next meal would come from, constantly on edge, trying to stay safe. Things weren’t easy, and I carried the weight of those hard years in my body. But one day, that all changed. We were rescued. And though the streets left their mark on me, I’ve learned that I can leave the past behind and embrace a future full of warmth, love, and comfort.

When we first came to the rescue, I was in rough shape—covered in wounds and so scared. But over time, I’ve healed, physically and emotionally. I’m fully recovered now, with a full belly, a soft coat, and the beginnings of trust in humans that I never thought would be possible. I’ve discovered a world of affection, cozy spots to nap, and other cats to bond with. I’m a bit of a sweet soul and love the company of my fellow felines, so I’d be perfectly happy with some cat friends in my new home.

I’ll admit, I can be a little shy at first. Change is a big deal for me. But once I get to know you, I’ll start showing you who I really am—playful, gentle, and curious. I’ll follow you quietly from room to room, always near, soaking up the warmth of your presence. I might need some time to get comfortable, but I promise, I’ll reward your patience with all the love I can give.

I’m a calm, quiet girl. I’m not one for big displays of affection, but that doesn’t mean I don’t appreciate it. If you show me love in gentle ways, I’ll open up more and more every day. I can’t wait to experience the joy of curling up in your lap for the first time or watching the world go by from a sunny window.

I’m spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed. I’m located in Miami, but the rescue offers transport up the East Coast every two weeks, so I can travel to wherever you are if you’re the one who’s ready to give me my forever home.
