HI, I AM RAVEN

RESCUED FROM: HIT BY CAR

Meet Raven — a breathtaking one-year-old Belgian Malinois with the heart of a fighter and the soul of a best friend.

Raven’s story didn’t begin with us, but it nearly ended before anyone even knew her name. She was accidentally hit by a car — not maliciously, but a true accident. The man who hit her did something most don’t: he stopped, picked her up with trembling hands, and rushed her to a nearby animal hospital, praying she’d survive.

She did.

But the hospital couldn’t keep her. They were going to have to send her to a high-risk county shelter — a place where dogs like her, injured and misunderstood, often don’t make it out. That’s when a vet tech sent us a desperate text:
"She’s amazing. She's fractured her leg but she's still so sweet. Please, can you take her?"
We said yes. And the rest is her comeback story.

Raven recovered beautifully from her leg injury and is now back to being an athlete — running, swimming, jumping, and playing like nothing ever happened. She is crate trained, doing wonderfully with house training, and LOVES the water and a good game of fetch. If you have a pool, she’ll be your swim buddy. If you have a ball, she’ll never let you throw alone.

She’s what we call a “Velcro Belgian” — she doesn’t just like people, she clings to them. She wants to be by your side, your shadow, your biggest fan. She's incredibly affectionate and bonds closely with her person.

But like all Malinois, she comes with her breed traits — high energy, intelligence, and strong opinions. She does best with older children, and NO cats. She can be selective with new dogs but has done well with proper, slow introductions. A home with Malinois or working breed experience is strongly preferred.

Raven will be adopted out spayed, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. She needs a secure yard, structure, and a life full of enrichment — physical and mental. She’s not a couch potato, but she is the kind of dog who will curl up at your feet after a long day of training or play, look up at you with those soulful eyes, and remind you that second chances do change lives.

She’s waiting for someone who doesn’t just want a dog —
She’s waiting for someone who wants a teammate. A best friend. A soulmate.

Could that be you?
