HI, I AM SWIMMY

RESCUED FROM: HOARDING

Hi there! My name is Swimmy, and I’ve been through more than most cats, but despite everything, I’m still here—and I’m ready to share my heart with the right family.

I was rescued from a hoarding situation where I lived in terrible conditions. I have Swimmer Syndrome, which means my back legs don’t work like most cats’. I drag them behind me and can’t walk like other cats, and my legs are splayed out like a little frog. But don’t let that fool you—my heart is big, and my spirit is stronger than ever.

When I was rescued, I was in awful shape. My body was covered in hundreds of fleas, and I was bleeding from all the flea bites—I was so sick and weak that I could hardly stand. I was drenched in urine, dirty, and covered in wounds from the severe flea infestation that had been left untreated for far too long. I had parasites, and I was in so much pain, but I just wanted to survive. Thankfully, a kind woman who was working to TNR other cats saw me and knew I needed help. She didn’t just walk away; she stepped in and made sure I was brought to safety.

Now that I’m all cleaned up and safe, life has gotten so much better. I mainly use potty pads because of my legs, but I’m trying my best to adjust to a new way of living. Sometimes I miss the litter box, but that doesn’t stop me from being the sweet, affectionate cat I am.

I’m a very loving, snuggly guy who just wants to be near you. Once I trust you, I’ll follow you everywhere. I’m not as fast as other cats, but when I’m with you, that’s all that matters. I will happily curl up in your lap, rub my head on your feet, and be your best friend. I’ll shower you with love and affection because I’m so grateful for the chance to live a better life.

I may be a little slower than most cats, but that only makes me more special. I’ve overcome so much, and now all I want is a family to call my own. I’m looking for someone who sees beyond my disability and can appreciate my sweet, gentle nature. I promise, if you take a chance on me, you’ll never find a more loyal and loving companion.

Please don’t let my condition stop you from considering me. I am beyond grateful for the chance at life I’ve been given, and I want to share all that gratitude with you. Together, we can create a peaceful, loving home where I can thrive.

If you’re looking for a cat who will love you unconditionally, and if you’re willing to give a little extra care to a special soul, then I might just be the perfect fit for you.

Forever yours,

Swimmy
