HI, I AM TOPANGA
RESCUED FROM: SHELTER MARKED URGENT
Hi! My name is Topanga, and I’ve lived through more in my short life than most cats ever should.
I was pulled from the county shelter’s urgent list, barely clinging to life. I was painfully thin, infested with hundreds of fleas, and so anemic that my gums were ghost-white. I could hardly move. The team who saved me didn’t think I’d make it through the night—but they gave me a chance anyway. And I held on.
I’m here today because of love, and because somewhere deep inside me, I knew I wasn’t done yet. I wanted to live. I wanted to run, and play, and feel safe. And now? I do all of those things—with joy.
I’m a playful, energetic little guy who loves to dart around the house at full speed, chasing toys and pouncing on invisible things only I can see. I’m fast, goofy, and full of kitten energy—but I’m also a world-class snuggler. I melt into people. I’ll climb into your arms and purr like I’ve known you my whole life. I don’t just like affection—I crave it. After everything I’ve been through, I want nothing more than to feel safe and cherished.
And here’s something special: I’ve been around dogs before and done just fine with them. I might be small, but I’m brave and adaptable. I’d be happy in a home with gentle pups who respect my space.
But there’s someone really important I want you to know about: Emiko. He’s my best friend and fellow survivor—pulled from the same urgent list and rescued alongside me. We’ve been through everything together. We were each other’s comfort when the world felt too scary to face alone. We play, snuggle, and sleep curled up together like two puzzle pieces that just fit. If you have room in your heart for two, we would love to stay together. But if not, I do need to go to a home with another friendly, playful cat. I thrive with companionship, and I get lonely without it.
I’ll be neutered soon, but I’m already accepting applications. I’m looking for a home full of warmth, soft blankets, patient hearts, and gentle hands. A home where my past won’t define me, but my future will.
I am not just a shelter cat. I am a survivor. I am sweetness and sunshine and second chances.
And I’m ready to find the people who will never give up on me.
With all my love,
Topanga
